What is Alpengold?

Alpengold is the high-quality result of down-to-earth work and conveys a feeling of real life in the Tyrolean mountains. While people often refer to it as “Heuschnaps” (hay schnapps or hay liquor) because of its smell and taste, Alpengold is a liqueur made from a variety of exquisite herbs and grasses. Cultivated in a controlled manner and processed by hand, the result is the naturally golden color, the multi-faceted smell and the uniquely authentic taste, which is perfectly balanced between liqueur and schnapps.

Where is Alpengold from?

Alpengold comes from the Tyrolean mountains, where it grows completely naturally in a secret meadow at an altitude of over 1,810 meters.

Why is Alpengold seasonally limited in quantity?

Because Alpengold, as a natural product of the Tyrolean mountains, only occurs in a very special place and is made by hand. The occurrence of our natural mix of mountain herbs and high-quality processing naturally limit the amount that can be produced per year. Alpengold therefore is kind of a permanent “Limited Edition”. And when the supply of one year is gone, we all have to wait until the next harvest :)

How to enjoy Alpengold at its best?

Of course, every moment of pleasure is very individual to oneself. We therefore recommend enjoying Alpengold in terms on the given context: after a mountain hike, when you reach the summit, the sip from the hip flask tastes best.  The grappa glass suits a stylish ambience, while in the beer garden you would drink from a down-to-earth shot glass. And at the end of the day on the couch at home, the best way to enjoy 2 fingers of Alpengold may be with an ice cube in a whiskey tumbler. So, there are no real tips and tricks on how when and where you can perfectly enjoy Alpengold. The most important thing is that it tastes great: “Cheers to you”!

How long does Alpengold last?

Officially there is no best-before date due to the high alcohol content. However, we recommend storing Alpengold in a cool place and away from light at all times to ensure consistent quality and a genuine taste. In addition, a bottle of Alpengold should be consumed completely within 30 days of opening it for the first time.

Who should not drink Alpengold?

Alpengold is a high-proof spirit, which, for example, in Austria, Germany and Italy prohibits its sale to people under the age of 18. In addition, pregnant women should avoid drinking Alpengold. Although laboratory tests carried out did not detect any allergens that require declaration, we would like to point out that our Alpengold contains plant aromas which, in their original plant form, can lead to sneezing, itching, or similar symptoms in people with hay fever allergies.

How much alcohol does Alpengold contain?

Despite its sweetness, defining Alpengold as liqueur, it has an alcohol content of 26.6 % vol.

Where to buy Alpengold?

How much shipping cost when purchasing online?
